Our mission is to make DiscoveringDigits, numbers, and mathematics a fun, engaging, challenging, and rewarding pursuit for students in 3rd through 8th grades.
The purpose of DiscoveringDigits.com is to help students see that math can be easy and fun once they've mastered computation skills. With the downtown look and feel of the Web site, kids are drawn in to discover how Math Comes to life as they visit buildings that relate to their everyday interests, with the help of our various tour guides. The tour guides interact with kids as they move around the Web site, enjoy relevant, everyday environments and are challenged to enriching math activities based on those environments.
DiscoveringDigits focuses on a wide variety of interests: sports, arts, finance, family, nutrition, and more. Math activities play a large role within the Web site and will relate to these everyday situations.
